Founders in SheWorx are women who embody three core values. We call these the AAA Values: Ambition — We set big goals and push ourselves outside of our comfort zone. Action — We work around constraints and always find a way to get things done. Altruism — We give back to our communities and encourage the success of other women.
Meet Chia-lin, one of the many incredible founders attending the upcoming SheWorx100 Summit.
1. What does your company do?
LookyLoo is a retail technology and big data/machine learning startup that combines a fashion social network, big data and machine learning (image-recognition algorithm) to help identify clothing fit, increase discovery, sales conversion & customer confidence as well as drive down return rates for apparel retailers.
2. What impact are you making? What does this impact look like in 10 years?
Our mission is to help consumers feel confident in their retail purchases. We will also make significant strides in how retail is done online: personalized, shape driven, real-women focused with significant changes in how retailers purchase/manufacturer, price and operationalize returns in apparel. In 10 years, retailers will have our shape logo online and in-store to help women understand whether the clothing they are looking at would work for their shape. Consumers will also have the ability to see the articles of clothing or retail goods on real women and also receive feedback on their purchase considerations in the dressing rooms or at home in real time from women around the world.
3. Why are you excited about the SheWorx100 Summit? What is the best part about being in the SheWorx community?
Women control 80% or more of spending power and we make up more than 50% of the population as consumers of goods and services. Yet, we represent less than 10% of overall technology founders and funders. How can we be assured the technology of tomorrow is built with us in mind? SheWorx100 Summit and Community provides me with the network of like-minded female entrepreneurs and investors who want to see us build and launch successful technology companies that will truly represent what we would like to see as consumers in the future.
