Like many others, she loves the Internet and the power it gives to individual people. At Mozilla she has developed global campaigns and education programs that help thousands of people, communities and organizations around the world teach digital literacy and the importance of the web. Amira has worked for many years building communities and movements among nonprofits, startups, social enterprises and technology-focused organizations. She is passionate about protecting the web, creating change for social good, developing inclusive learning spaces and female empowerment.
