The Future is Female: Redesigning the World

Whatever it is, the way you tell your story online can make all the difference.

Women make up half of the world’s population and 85% of consumer spending, yet for far too long, the male perspective has been considered the default. When airbags first debuted, hundreds of women and children were injured and even killed by the impact because engineers only tested for the male frame.

Danielle Kayembe, author of white paper “The Silent Rise of the Female-Driven Economy,” is breaking through the patriarchal biases embedded in our technology, structures, and society by advocating for women-centered innovation. Her viral white paper has now been viewed over one million times and is featured on CNBC, Forbes, and Refinery29.

The gender pay gap is one manifestation of male-centric societal structures and Siran Cao, co-founder and CEO of Mirza, is on a mission to close it. Mirza is a tool that arms the modern parent with research on fertility options to understand financial costs and support to navigate parental leave with the goal of redesigning what it means to be a working mother

Gesche Haas, founder and CEO of Dreamers & Doers, tackles the challenge by amplifying the entrepreneurial pursuits of extraordinary women through visibility opportunities, resource exchange, and collective support. Gesche’s views on the tech space, and beyond, have been featured on Bloomberg TV, CNNMoney, Business Insider, Forbes, Fortune Magazine, and many other major media outlets, as well as through the United Nations, where she spoke during the sixtieth session of the Commission on the Status of Women.

During this SheWorx Virtual Roundtable on May 20th at 3 pm EST, join moderator Danielle Kayembe of GreyFire Impact and panelists Siran Cao, co-founder and CEO of Mirza, and Gesche Haas, founder and CEO of Dreamers & Doers, for a conversation on the rise of The Female-Driven Economy and how women entrepreneurs and investors are leading the way in designing the future.
